Last week marked an exciting milestone for the Perth community with an information day at the Perth Community Hub. This event provided a fantastic opportunity for locals to discover the various initiatives underway and share their thoughts on the community's needs.
The afternoon kicked off with a sausage sizzle hosted by the Perth Lions Club. Attendees were able to view the Hub's facilities and engage in conversations with the management committee.
The community consultation meeting was a key highlight, especially the ideas from Perth Primary School, which included everything from games and cooking to sewing sessions.
Interim CEO Amanda Bailey spoke passionately about Eskleigh's role in supporting the Hub's mission. This initiative will not only enhance the Hub but also align with Eskleigh's own community garden efforts and provide an opportunity for the people we support to engage with the local community.
Additionally, the Hub plans to organise tours of the historic Eskleigh homestead and gardens, providing Perth residents with a deeper connection to their local heritage. Rob Butler volunteered to be on the Hub committee!
