Tasmanian Art Award

The $6000 2011 Tasmanian Art Award is an art competition and exhibition held each year at Eskleigh Home near Perth, Tasmania. All works are offered for sale to the public.

The Exhibition will be held between the Saturday 9th April and Sunday 17th April 2011, with a cocktail party on the evening of Friday 9th April 2011 to open the exhibition and announce the award winners.

The $6000 Tasmanian Art Award at Eskleigh is designed to promote and benefit Eskleigh by raising funds and increasing public interest and appreciation of the work of Eskleigh in the community. The Tasmanian Art Award is also intended to facilitate the public’s exposure to the artists’ work and to reward artists’ efforts with cash prizes and awards for excellence.

The Tasmanian Art Award is a significant event in the Tasmanian Arts Calendar and attracts artists with established reputations as well as new exhibitors. In 2010 over 200 entries were exhibited. All artwork is for sale and may be viewed during the nine public exhibition days.
